History of Al Posey Racing

1965 - began his interest in motorcycles
1969 - started perfoming his own motor porting
1973 - Al Posey turned Pro riding 2 stroke flat trackers
1974 - Became Distric 36 Board of directors member
1976 - Started racing 4 strokes and performing engine mods for other riders
1977 - entered his first Baja 1000 race
1979 - Started racing motocross with local clubs CMC & Distric 36
1980 - Signed on as Rod Smith's personal motor Mech
1983 - Rode Mamoth in the senior A class finishing 8th overall
1995 - Had won 1st place at the Dodge amature National at Hangtown
1995 - Personal mechanic for Jeff Northrup local pro & Raphed Ramos the #1 Brazilian Motocross rider
1996 to present Al Posey could not give up the passion for motocross and began his own rider support program enlisting many local riders that went on to become national pro riders with several riders riding in the AMA Supercross and out door motocross series.

Posey racing has earned the respect of many in the local and national level riders as a true rider support sponser showing up at all local events to mentor and support his long list of spionsered riders.

During 1972 through 1984 Al POsey worked at various motorcycle shops as Mgr of parts in 1983 he concetrated heavily on doing porting jobs on 2 stroke motors and then continued through 2003 focusing primarily at local venues doing engines and suspensions
